National Forest Closures

To better provide public and firefighter safety due to the ongoing California wildfire crisis, USDA Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region is announcing a temporary closure of all National Forests in California (including Inyo National Forest). This closure will be in effect from Aug. 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. through September 17, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. This closure however does NOT affect our event, Mammoth Rock N Rye, located at the Village at Mammoth in town. We are seeking clarification on what recreation will be accessible throughout the weekend and will update you as more information surfaces.

Thank you for your support and we send our deepest condolences, prayers, and positive juju to all those being evacuated for fires in California. Thank you Firefighters!
